Kissing the frog…

img_0965_1I currently live in an area where we have elephants and zebras in the garden every day, with buffalos, hippos and crocodiles in the background.

And I can tell you that you never get used to it… even after weeks, months, it is still a wonder and you watch them with delight. And some fear when it comes to the elephants…

At a smaller scale, there are also a number of other animals in the garden. Plenty of birds, spiders, geckos, chameleons… that we can see also every day.

But in the past few days, I have had very usual, if not unconventional, encounters with another small animal. Four encounters in 2 days…

The first time was when I was reaching for the toilet paper: he was hidding in the roll…

The second time, he was blocking the water drain in the shower in the evening and I reached down as I thought it was a bunch of leaves…

The third time was again in the toilet: he jumped out of the bowl when I flushed the toilet (luckily, not while I was using it!!!)…

And then, he came back in the toilet roll…

You might have guessed (or not) that I am talking about a frog!!!

My Prince Charming….?

It now makes me wonder if I am in a fairy tale and if I should be kissing that frog: maybe this is my Prince Charming….

Update a few days later… he is still around… and now, taking living quarter on the toilet seat: reluctant to leave when I need…
